Let it Snow, Let it Snow, Let it Snow

Chad & I drove to his parents' home today to spend a few hours with them (#69).  It snowed last weekend and because of the really cold temps, it hasn't melted.  The drive was so pretty with the blanket of snow covering the ground (#70).  They didn't have as much snow as we did, but it was still pretty.  All of the ponds we drove past were frozen, of course.  And Chad even turned around and went back so I could get a picture of the pond to share with all of you tonight.  On the way home, we ran into snow.   It was so pretty, but we did have to slow down because the highways were starting to get snow-packed and icy in spots.  Here are a few photos from the day.

We got home just in time to pick up Jillian and Jenica from school.  I had called the elementary school to let them know we'd be late so Jillian could wait inside for me.  Chad took a picture of us leaving her school, and I snapped a picture of Jenica when we picked her up.  I sent Jacob a text, asking him if he'd have someone take his picture as he walked back to his room from class, but he didn't think that sounded very cool.  It was snowing in Lincoln this afternoon too, so Jacob was enjoying some snow also.

The evergreen trees surrounding our street are so pretty when it snows.  There was some freezing drizzle coming down also, which was quickly sticking to the trees also.  See what we get to enjoy every day?  It's even prettier when the sun comes out, against the blue sky.
