SNOW - Ready or Not . . .

We've had some really great weather lately.  (Blessing #251)  In fact, the temps set an all new record high just the other day when it peaked at 68 degrees.  It was beautiful!  Jillian was so excited that she didn't need to wear her coat after school let out.  She said, "I got all sweaty at recess today, mom!"  And every day since then, she's asked if it's going to be "cold or hot today."

Two days ago, the weathermen started talking about SNOW in their upcoming forecasts.  Boy, does that get people's attention!  And because I love, love, love snow, I consider that a blessing.  (#252)  Chad gets all excited too, because he loves it when school is cancelled due to snow.  He's probably more excited about it than the kids.  We've all been doing a "Snow Dance" at our home.

You'd never know by the looks of today's partly-cloudy sky and mild temperatures, that we will be in the midst of a blizzard tomorrow evening.  Check out this snow-fall map:

Do you see Holdrege?  We're right in that pink blob, just left of the little cloud.  And with windy conditions, we are in a "Blizzard Watch."  Isn't that exciting?!  I just hope it waits until Jacob makes in home tomorrow from college.  I'd hate for him to get stuck in it somewhere.

We're looking forward with anticipation for a fun snow-filled weekend.  Jillian's been anxious to make a snowman.  With all that snow, we could make a snow "family."
