Husker Baseball

Some friends of ours have season tickets to the Husker Baseball games, and they shared their tickets with us last night.  As soon as Chad was finished with his WFSG meetings at school (which are totally worthless, by the way), we headed to Lincoln to watch the Huskers beat the Gophers.  (Blessing #702)  Great seats!

We were unsure if Jacob would be able to go with us, because he got a really bad sunburn on Wednesday, working outside.

He moved home from college a week ago, and is helping both his grandpa and a local farmer this summer.  But the sunburn he got Wednesday was so bad, that he didn't think he'd be able to go with us.  However, we got some medicine from the doctor, the pain subsided, and he was able to go afterall.  (#703)  Which is really good, because he and Chad can speak "baseball" a lot better than I can. I just don't understand that language, which would have been a bit frustrating for Chad.

The girls and I were more interested in other things.  We are easily distracted.
The toddler twins two rows ahead of us provided entertainment for us.  The funnel cakes, popcorn, and Jillian's naked hotdog also took our atttention away from the game.  Bathroom breaks.  Drink breaks.  Jillian even found something fun to climb on.

Oh, yeh. . . I almost forgot. . .  Jillian danced for the cameras and ended up on their big screen TV!   She thinks she's a superstar now.  Just let her know if you'd like her autograph. Another fun surprise was the fireworks show after the game.  (#704)  It was "fan appreciation" night at the ballfield.  Great way to start the weekend!
